Lafarge Volunteer’s At Work with Adopt a Street in Langley

Lafarge Adopt A Street Sign

The Township of Langley wants to keep the community beautiful, and Lafarge is taking an active role in helping make that happen.

Our Langley Aggregates Office & the Port Kells Ashpalt Plant have teamed up to Adopt a Street through the Township of Langley by adopting 1 km of road that they have committed to keeping clean. Every month we have Lafarge volunteers at work to hit the streets to keep them clean and safe. For the first round of clean up they managed to collect 9 bags of garbage, a TV & some miscellaneous house garbage.

Thank you to the following volunteers; Dennis Recksiedler, Keifer Jackson, James Mattson, Neeru Sharma, Reynold Amey, Shannon Dykhuizen, Greg Smith, Pat Hayes, & Stacia Middlemass

Lafarge Abbotsford Gravel Pit Reclamation

Lafarge Canada Inc. has owned and operated a 30 acre sand and gravel reserve operating under Abbotsford Gravel Sales, located on Clearbrook Road in Abbotsford.

By 2006, the gravel reserves were depleted from this location. At the time there were limited legal clean fill locations available.

Lafarge identified this need and worked with the City of Abbotsford to create a legal permitted fill site.
